One of the first things foreigners should learn when speaking Thai is the use of polite ending words.
ครับ (Krub / Khráp) is a polite ending generally used by male speakers.
Examples:
Adding Krub at the end of a sentence makes the sentence sound more polite.
ค่ะ (Ka / Khâ) is a polite ending generally used by female speakers, especially in statements or responses.
Examples:
For questions, female speakers commonly use คะ (Ka / Khá).

Female speaker → ค่ะ (Ka)
Remembering these two simple words will immediately make your Thai sound more polite.
สวัสดี (Sawasdee) means Hello / Hi.
It can be used by both men and women.
Examples:

= Hello. (male speaker)
สวัสดีค่ะ
Sawasdee Ka.
= Hello. (female speaker)
You can use Sawasdee when meeting someone or starting a conversation.
ขอบคุณ (Khob Khun) means Thank you.
This is one of the most important Thai words to remember.
For male speakers:
ขอบคุณครับ
Khob Khun Krub.
= Thank you.
For female speakers:
ขอบคุณค่ะ
Khob Khun Ka.
= Thank you.
To say Thank you very much, you can say:
ขอบคุณมากครับ
Khob Khun Maak Krub.
= Thank you very much.
ขอบคุณมากค่ะ
Khob Khun Maak Ka.
= Thank you very much.
ขอโทษ (Khor Thot) means Sorry / Excuse me.
It can be used when apologizing, getting someone’s attention, or politely interrupting someone.

= Excuse me / Sorry.
ขอโทษค่ะ
Khor Thot Ka.
= Excuse me / Sorry.
ใช่ (Chai) means Yes / Correct.
Examples:
ใช่ครับ

= Yes.
ใช่ค่ะ
Chai Ka.
= Yes.
The opposite is:
ไม่ใช่ (Mai Chai)
= No / Not correct.
ได้ (Dai) can mean Can / Okay / Yes, depending on the context.
It is a very commonly used Thai word.
Examples:
ได้ครับ
Dai Krub.
= Okay.
ได้ค่ะ
Dai Ka.
= Okay.
The opposite is:
ไม่ได้ (Mai Dai)
= Cannot / Not possible.
ไม่เป็นไร (Mai Pen Rai) is one of the most useful Thai expressions.
Depending on the situation, it can mean:

B: ไม่เป็นไรครับ
Mai Pen Rai Krub.
= No problem.
You can also use Mai Pen Rai when someone says Khob Khun (Thank you).
ราคาเท่าไหร่ (Raa-khaa Thao-rai?) means How much?
This is an important phrase when shopping, ordering a service, or asking about prices.

= Where is the bathroom?

ย้ายบ้าน means Move house.

ขนของ means Move / Carry / Transport goods.
Example:

Tong-gaan Rot Khon Khong Krub.
